NEW: STORY MODE

Every chapter a region. Every guardian a question.

Story mode is a real-time adventure written from a book: a region per topic, people who teach its ideas, guardians that ask its questions, and an ending your choices decide.

Free: the prologue and the first chapter · Pro: the whole story · in the browser, on a computer or a phone

A hero swings a sword at a giant guardian in its arena, the guardian’s name and health bar at the top of the screen.
Guardians fought in phasesWear a guardian down and it raises a shield with a question. A right answer stuns it; a wrong one only makes it angrier.

How a book becomes a story

Its topics are the map, its ideas are taught along the way, and its questions are the locks.

01

A chapter for each topic

A prologue in the capital, then up to 8 chapters, one per topic of the book. Each is a region of its own: a town, wilds full of monsters and a dungeon.

02

Its questions guard the way

People in town teach the chapter’s ideas. A seal guards each dungeon and breaks only for right answers, and its guardian stops to ask between the phases of the fight.

03

Your choices, your ending

Choices along the way change the chapters after them: who travels with you, which road you take, what the shops charge. The finale ends one of three ways.

See it in pictures

Real screenshots of the game, nothing mocked up.

A chapter’s town: a hero beside three villagers, a lit campfire and the shops, with hearts, coins and a minimap at the edges.
A town to come back toTalk to the people, buy tools, rest by the campfire and build on the empty plots: a forge, a market, a bridge.

Play it with friends

Up to 4 friends play the same story together: they see each other, fight the same monsters and travel together, while each keeps their own progress.

Two heroes in a town square, one waving, the friend’s name above their head.
Together in townA friend waves from across the square. Only the people in your party see you.

Invite by link

Open a party and share its link. Up to 4 players, and nobody outside the party sees you.

Shared monsters, your own loot

Everyone fights the same monsters, and whoever landed a hit gets their own drops. Quests, seals, buildings and guardians stay each player’s own.

Friendly fights, settled by questions

Friends can trade blows until either switches it off. Nobody is hit in a conversation, a menu or a quiz, and a knockout becomes a quiz duel.

No chat, only emotes

Friends talk with emotes and quick phrases, shown in each reader’s language. There is no chat box, so nobody can type a message to anyone.

Still studying, the whole way

The questions are the book’s own, the same ones its world asks in every other mode.

Pick how much to study

More game asks only at seals and guardians. Balanced adds a check after each lesson. More study adds questions while you fight and build.

Answers that power you up

Right answers charge Insight, which makes your strikes hit harder. Missed questions come back until you get them.

A codex of every idea

Every idea a teacher explains is kept in your codex, and the journal keeps track of your quests and where to go next.

Progress that counts everywhere

Answers count on the book’s mindmap, in your streak and for your achievements. Some quests are even played in the other games.

Your hero, your story

Pick a hero, make the calls and see where they lead.

8 heroes

Ninjas, a knight, a samurai, a hunter and more. Pick one at the start, with the study level that suits you.

Choices that matter

Who travels with you, which road leads into the next chapter, what its shops charge: each choice changes what comes after it.

Three endings, then New Game+

Two endings follow the side you took. The true one asks for most of the book’s ideas, every seal and every relic. Then start again.

Questions

Is Story mode free?
The prologue and the first chapter of every story are free to play. Every paid plan opens every chapter.
Is it still studying?
Yes. The ways forward open with the book’s questions: the seals before the dungeons, and the guardians between the phases of their fights. Teachers explain the ideas first, and you choose how often the game asks.
Can I play with friends?
Yes. Open a party from the game and share its link. Up to 4 players see each other, fight the same monsters and travel to each other’s regions.
Can my friends attack me?
Only while both of you leave fights on, which is how everyone joins a party; either of you can switch them off in the party panel at any time. Nobody is hit in a conversation, a menu or a quiz. A hit costs half a heart, and the blow that would knock someone out starts a quiz duel instead: if only the attacker is right, the defender faints; if only the defender is right, the attacker loses a heart; after 3 rounds without a winner, nobody is hurt.
Is there a chat?
No. Friends talk with emotes and a set of quick phrases, shown in each reader’s language; there is no chat box and no message anyone can type. Only the people in your party see you.
What happens to my progress in a party?
It stays yours. Quests, seals, buildings, chests and coins are kept for each player, so a seal a friend breaks is still closed in your story, and everyone faces their own guardians.
Can I play it on a phone?
Yes, in the phone’s browser, with a touch stick and buttons. Story mode is not in the mobile app yet.
Does my progress count anywhere else?
Yes. Right answers count on the book’s mindmap, in your daily streak and for your achievements, and the XP you earn is the same XP the world’s other modes add to.
